Volunteers from the Cross Charitable Organization made another trip to deliver aid to our defenders. On January 24, 2025, we traveled to the city of Sumy, where our local friends were waiting for us. We spent the night there, and early in the morning we set out together to serve our military. A large group from the local church in Sumy, “Svitlo Yevangelii” (Light of the Gospel), arrived. Plus, our brothers, chaplains Sasha, Uncle Misha, and Slavik with his accordion, joined us. From our group, there was Vitaly, the chaplain, Natalia, and Vlad. Report for the year 2024
2024 Cross Volunteers
1) In 2024, a team of volunteers made 19 trips to frontline cities in Ukraine—4 trips to the Zaporizhzhia region and 15 trips to the Donetsk region.
2) More than 50 volunteers were involved in the service, over 20 of whom are members of our Church of Salvation. The most active members were Marina Vasilenko, Katya Kupchenko, Vlas Pachkovsky, Vlad Danilov, Vitaly and Natalia Khmelnitsky, and Rubim Prokopenko, who went straight from us to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
3) Each trip consisted of three days of service. This includes preparing hot meals, distributing necessary items to the military, and chaplaincy ministry. Some brothers from our church have recently begun to actively try their hand at chaplaincy: Ruslan Kravchuk, Vitaliy Grygor, and Vitya Nazarenko. Being a chaplain means, first and foremost, being there for others.
—19 trips means 57 days spent in frontline areas.
4)In three days, we prepare more than 1,000 servings of bograch and 200 servings of other hot meals.
We distribute about 2 tons of humanitarian aid. In total, it was about 23,000 servings of hot meals and about 35 tons of aid.
5) But most importantly, during these three days, we have the opportunity to talk to about 150-200 people. We prayed with 100-150 people and shared the Gospel with about 70-150 people. In total, over the course of 19 trips, we talked with about 4,000 people and prayed with over 3,000 people.
-Distributed more than 1,000 Gospels. During each trip, we try to actively distribute business cards for our church in Kyiv to everyone and invite them to visit our services.
6) It is very nice when we meet people here in our church (and these are only the ones we know) with whom we prayed on the front lines. Ten people visited our church. Among them were Snizhana, who survived captivity, Vladislav and his wife, who were surrounded for 68 days, Roman from Kyiv, and other guys who are currently on the front lines.
To everyone who contributed in any way, who donated, who prepared nets, sewed linen, stretchers, and other supplies (especially our elderly sisters and brothers) — thank you very much. May God bless your work.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who gives the growth. The one who plants and the one who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field, God's building.

TRIP No. 18 In 2024, Druzhkivka
On November 29, 30, and December 1, the next trip, already the eighteenth this year, took place.
Thirteen volunteers from the HREST Charitable Organization traveled in six vehicles. Once again, we spent three days serving our defenders.
On the first day, we arrived in Druzhkivka and prepared a cauldron of 150 liters of fragrant Transcarpathian bograch on the church grounds. Some of the volunteers, together with local friends from the church, prepared ingredients for the next cauldron (270 liters), which we planned to cook tomorrow. On the first day, we also cooked a 150-liter cauldron to distribute the next day, which only happens in winter because of the short days.
The next day, we distribute the 150-liter cauldron and simultaneously prepare the next 270 liters. In addition, we are joined by the Mariupol - This is Ukraine group, along with seven German citizens. The group brought about 400 kg of chicken and many other things, which they actively cooked on the grill while we were preparing bograch.
We were visited by many military personnel, our friends from the Border Guard, the National Guard Bureviy, and many others. During the day, 420 liters of hot bograch and 150 kg of grilled chicken were distributed.
The chaplaincy ministry is very important, as are meetings with staff chaplains, our friends with whom we have prayed many times together. Praying for the boys is one of the most important tasks of a chaplain. We talked to more than 300 of our defenders, each of whom was able to get something for themselves in this place.
The third day is the hardest. We have to serve the military, prepare 150 liters of bograch and about 200 servings of banosh. On the same day, we leave for Kyiv to prepare for the next trip.

On November 8, 2024, at 5:00 a.m., a convoy of vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid and equipment set off again for the frontline cities of Ukraine. This time, eleven volunteers expressed their desire to participate in the trip. We were also joined by our friends from Transcarpathia, members of the Mariupol is Ukraine group, and representatives of the Mariupol chaplaincy battalion. After about 10 hours on the road, we arrived in Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkivka. In the evening, we set up cauldrons and cooked 150 liters of bograch, which we will distribute the next day, on Saturday. These were blessed days for our guys, with a lot of help, volunteers, and chaplains. Once again, there were much-anticipated meetings with our friends and fellow countrymen. Prayers with defenders, tears of joy, friendly conversations, and hot bograch, fragrant banosh, three days of a truly homely atmosphere, an environment that gives you the warmth of home, support, and hope that you are not alone in this war, that you have not been forgotten. The chaplains are there to share the Gospel and pray for anyone who wants it. Thanks to everyone who joined this trip: volunteers from the Church of Salvation (Pukhova), volunteers from Obolon Revival, Meisha and Ivan who joined for the first time, Friends from Transcarpathia from the Evangelical Church, Nelya and Misha Oleshnyk, the group “Mariupol is Ukraine,” brother Volodya, brothers from Mariupol, and of course, special thanks to the brothers and sisters of the Druzhkivka Church “Design of Christ.”

TRIP No. 12 in 2024. Volunteers in frontline cities
Volunteer trip to the east. This is already the 12th trip to the frontline cities of our country organized by volunteers from the HREST Charitable Organization.
For three days, volunteers stayed in the frontline zone near Lyman to provide moral and spiritual support to our defenders. During these three days, they prepared hot meals, including Transcarpathian bograch, which was cooked in a 150-liter cauldron, and on one of the days, in a 270-liter cauldron. In total, this was enough for over 1,200 servings. In addition, they prepared banosh with cracklings and mushrooms, which was distributed to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in about 400 servings over three days. The soldiers also received cold kvass in kegs and many other delicacies that the volunteers of the Cross Charitable Organization prepared themselves.
In addition, we brought various aid in the form of necessary items that the guys had ordered in advance: from shovels to ordinary socks, as well as chargers, camouflage nets, kikimori, underwear, and much more.
Dear friends! Thank you to everyone who joined the trip to the frontline cities of Ukraine. This was already the 12th trip with the Cross in 2024. Igor, Vlad, Vlas, Ksenia, Natasha, Vanya, Lena, Lyuda... Volodya, Yura, Irina. The Church of Salvation for camouflage nets, treats, and much more! May God bless you for your work in bringing the Gospel to the military...
Special thanks to Zhenya, Lena, and the local team of the local church Design of Christ for preparing the ingredients for Transcarpathian bograch. Without you, we would not have been able to handle such a large amount... Thank you and may God bless you abundantly!
Thanks to everyone who participated!
Praise God, because with your help we were able to prepare and distribute about 1,200 portions of hot food, cooked with love, to our defenders in the frontline zone. We had the opportunity to bless more than half of them, pray for them, and share the Gospel: that Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life! Only in Him is there salvation and the gift of eternal life!
We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work with these people!!!

TRIP No. 1 in 2024. January. Druzhkivka, Liman
2023 was quite successful in terms of the charitable organization HREST carrying out many charitable trips to frontline cities in Ukraine. More than 10,000 portions of hot food and various forms of assistance were distributed to civilians and military personnel.
VOLUNTEERS FROM HREST continued their trips to frontline cities in Ukraine in 2024, eager to surpass their achievements in 2023.
The volunteers made their first trip immediately after the New Year, on January 13, 14, and 15, 2024.
These were days of low temperatures, accompanied by blizzards and snowfall, but this kind of weather is just right for offering hot, slightly spicy Transcarpathian bograch. Our volunteers also prepared fragrant vitamin tea for Ukrainian defenders (which, by the way, received hundreds of wonderful reviews—it was even called “awesome”).
